Simcon International (Pvt.) Ltd. held a seminar
titled “AutoForm Software Solutions for Sheet Metal
Forming” at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi on
Wednesday July 04, 2007. This event was arranged in
collaboration with Pakistan Association of
Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM)
and sponsored by Aftab Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd.
which is one of the largest sheet metal part
producers in Pakistan.
The seminar was conducted by Ms. Debra Williams, the
representative from AutoForm Engineering,
Netherlands. The chief guest, Mr. Shariq Suhail,
Chairman Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts &
Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM), graced the
occasion with his presence.
Mr. Ahmer Afzal Khan Managing Director Aftab
Technologies (ATL) welcomed the guests and briefed
the audience about Aftab Group of industries and
Aftab Technologies (ATL).
Mr. Ahmad Safi, Managing Director, Simcon
International (Pvt.) Ltd. emphasized on the
importance of bringing new technologies to Pakistan
and developing excellence in the utilization of the
same. He mentioned that AutoForm Software had become
the need for the die-making and sheet metal forming
industries. Seminars such as this one would help
identify the applications where sheet metal forming
techniques would result in benefits otherwise
impossible to achieve.
Ms. Debra Williams talked about the AutoForm
Software application to solve the problems of local
sheet metal forming industries. She commended
Simcon's efforts towards introduction and
proliferation of new technologies in Pakistani OEMs
and Sheet Metal industries.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Shariq Suhail thanked Simcon
for inviting him to the occasion and shared his
thoughts on the transfer of technology from
Switzerland to Pakistan.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks from
Miss Erum Khan, Deputy Manager CAD/CAM/CAE, Simcon
International, special thanks were offered to Ms.
Debra Williams for taking time out from her busy
schedules for this event. She also thanked all the
honored guests who were present at this occasion.
The guests were then led to the Hi-Tea. |
